A small Marine / Sky Painting looking out over the
North Sea from Whitby on the North East coast of
England in late autumn.
This Seascape Painting may one day be used someday
as reference for a larger piece. The sea makes up only about
one seventh of the Painting, the rest is evening Sky with
dramatic cloud formations painted in brown-pinks and
blue-greys.
Seascape / Landscape Acrylics Painting Technique:
The Acrylic Paint is applied fairly thickly with enough
opacity to prevent the white Gesso ground from showing
through.
The 5 colours used in this composition are: White, Payne's
Grey, Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, and Cerulean Blue.
